Wed, 25 February 2009 ![]() I’m officially half done with the bar exam. I am in the proverbial belly of the beast as we speak with one day down and one to go (practicing attorneys for a certain number of years only have to take the first day and the third day, and don’t have to sit for the multi-state day) I put the books down for a moment and did a podcast in which I talk about my germ-phobia, pressure cooker chicken soup and many other things. My succulent yarn pick for the moment is Fiesta Ballet which is soft and shiny and actually surprisingly dense. I’m knitting a chevron scarf with two colors of it as we speak… um no, I”m studying for the bar still, right??? Last week I was able to finish the epic peach shawl from Victorian Lace today. I still haven’t blocked it but I’m wearing it into the bar examination to symbolize to myself what consistent work can accomplish. Actually I am wearing the watch from my parents, the bracelet that the boyfriend gave me, the necklace that one of my favorite colleagues brought back for me when she and her family went to Hawaii, and socks that I knit from yarn that Allen from Numma Numma sent me when I, ahem, ceased to work at my old job last year. Here’s hoping that all that support from my little fan club and some old fashioned studying will be enough to make it so I never have to study for another bar again! Actually I’m studying, typing here and eating pretty poor chinese take-out at this very second. As for the website www.yarndyenasty.com, it is expecting a serious face lift, actually its going to be more like an overhaul! I’m so excited. Please, I’m excited about anything that isn’t studying for the bar, and being able to do things without feeling like I should be studying instead. Here is some psychotic bunny fun on YouTube
Ok real story, lulu overgrooms ella as well as takes out her neurotic anxious mind by nipping at her. Fast forward- its a sunday a week and a half ago and I'm pulling fur from ella's coat because its getting warmer and if I don't get some of the fur out it will mat up. I notice some of the pieces of fur have pink wet ends. But I keep going. Finally I find where its all coming from. And there is now a 2" round hole in the skin of the bunny. Did I mention its a sunday? Yeah, so I try to calm down because the bunny specialist wouldn't be in until monday anyway. So monday brings the trip to the vet, the shaving of the bun and the suturing of the wound with skin glue. And the vet said it is because the other one (lulu) must have bitten her and it abcessed and that is why her skin was coming off. Delightful, right?
So I'm asking around about what to do with this nut job rabbit. Someone suggested a stuffed animal that she can overgroom and abuse instead of ella. Which worked, but sometimes she gets seriously angry at the hedgehog. Its kind of funny actually so I taped it. :-)
